Anyone can request a consultation by completing this form. If needed, you may complete the form on behalf of someone else who might have difficulty completing the form. After you fill out the form, we will contact you by your indicated preference to schedule an appointment time.
HOW LONG IS A CONSULT?
Consults are 45 minutes. This is a sweet spot for the vast majority of people. Sometimes, the task, goal, or discussion in mind requires longer than the allotted 45 minutes— in these cases, we’ll work with you to schedule additional consults. Your consult appointment may also be extended, at the discretion of your consultant.
There are many things I want to accomplish, can we do it all?
If you have a list of goals or tasks you want to tackle, we can schedule you for multiple consultations. We find that consults are most valuable when they are focused to one objective. If you’re not sure where to start, we can help you prioritize!
Do you offer in-person consultations?
We are based in the Triangle Region of North Carolina. At this time, we can only meet in-person if you reside in this region (Carrboro, Chapel Hill, Durham, Hillsborough, Pittsboro). To ensure your safety and the safety of our staff, all in-person consultations will occur at a local library.
How do virtual consultations work?
If you are not located in the greater Triangle Region, we will schedule you for a virtual consultation. Depending on the technology you have, the consult will occur by telephone (voice call only), or by video call (Google Meet).
Is my information safe?
The only information we record are basic contact information (name, phone, email) so we can reach you, and a brief post-consult summary to help us remember what we accomplished in each consult. A Digital Access Labs consultant will never ask you for personal passwords or bank information. Don’t ever share those with anyone. Depending on the nature of your consult, a consultant might help you navigate resetting a password, but they will never write down or use anything that they may see.
